The Amazing Spiderman 2

This week, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was released to much anticipation from fans and critics. This is the second movie in "The Amazing" series and features new enemies that include Electro, The Green Goblin, and Rhino. Riding on the success of newer Marvel movies such as Iron Man and Captain America, The Amazing Spider Man 2 felt disconnected from the others. Due to a deal with Marvel years ago, Sony owns the rights to produce anything Spider-Man related. This causes a break between the two series, namely how the major organization S.H.I.E.L.D or any part of The Avengers, which Spider-Man eventually became part of in the comics.
Even though through this disconnect of the same universe, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 shines really well. It is very apparent that this is a huge movie, and lots of time and money went into making it a spectacular movie. In fact, this is the largest and most expensive movie to ever be filmed in New York City. One major complaint about the movie is that there are lots of new people and ideas that are brought up in this movie. This is seen as Harry Osborne, Peter Parkers best friend, is not mentioned once in the first Amazing Spider-Man but they are supposed best friends since grade school.
The constant building of new ideas and people allow for many new villains to come in future movies but also means that the beginning is mostly plot building. Its not until the final hour that most of the action and fight scenes happen. Overall, this movie is a great movie with some plot structure flaws which it tries to address. Definitively something that any Marvel fan should see.

  3. I liked the review. Most people are either too nice about movies and provide no criticism, or their complaints aren't backed up by anything, they're usually just complaining. You have provided both good and bad things about the movie. I look forward to reading more reviews!

I like the added facts about Sony having the rights to produce anything Spider-Man related, that was a new fact to me and very interesting.
